Advanced PRP / GFC Hair Restoration
Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) and Growth Factor Concentrate (GFC) are autologous regenerative approaches used as part of treatment plans for certain types of hair loss. A small blood sample is collected from the patient and processed using a specialized preparation technique to obtain a concentrated component containing platelets and/or growth factors. The prepared product is then carefully administered into targeted areas of the scalp.
These treatments are intended to support the scalp environment and hair follicles and may help improve hair density, hair shaft thickness, and hair shedding in appropriately selected patients.
Treatment process may include:
- Blood Collection: A small amount of the patient's blood is collected using sterile techniques.
- Advanced Processing: The sample is processed using a clinic-specific protocol to prepare PRP or GFC.
- Scalp Preparation: The treatment area is cleaned and prepared before administration.
- Targeted Application: The prepared PRP or GFC is injected into selected areas of the scalp.
- Personalized Treatment Plan: The number and frequency of sessions depend on the type and severity of hair loss and the individual's clinical assessment.
PRP and GFC treatments are generally performed as outpatient procedures. Results vary between individuals, and treatment is most appropriate after evaluation of the cause and pattern of hair loss by a qualified medical professional.
